is a pretty little wreck and quite open and accessible to divers. I first saw her in the daytime and immediately knew I had to return to her at night. She is covered with very colorful growth - mostly anemones - which hide to a large extent during the day but blossom at night. We also found several basket stars in the coral around her hull which only come out at night as well.
In daylight many critters hide and shrink back, but at night they really blossom.
Once darkness settles over Veronica, the shrimps and crabs and basket stars come out to feed including a slipper lobster. And, of course, when the small dudes come out, there’s going to be a moray to take advantage of it.
You definitely want to visit Veronica both day and night _ a remarkable transformation. To see the hull covered with anemones during the day that are sucked in and hiding but blossom into full bloom at night is quite amazing. Equally amazing are the basket stars which hide in the gorgonias off to the side and nightly trek across the bottom and climb the hull to the top in order to spread out and feed.
