Restaurants

No matter what your taste for food might be, there is most likely a restaurant on Roatan to satisfy your desires. It would take an entire website to cover even a portion of the truly good places to go. However, even if you are going to stay in a location that is all inclusive, I strongly recommend you venture out and try some of the local places - you won’t be disappointed. Prices will vary all over the spectrum from very reasonable to moderately expensive.

Just a sampling of some of the main street restaurants. It would be impossible to visit a lot of the places as it seems like every third building is a restaurant.

Drunken Sailor
Cannibal Cafe

The Cannibal Cafe has an extensive menu of local and Mexican foodwhile  The Drunken Sailor tends more to italian. Both are  good places to have lunch while shopping or between dives

Blue Elephant

If you enjoy the ocean scenery while you eat, the Thai Blue Elephant not only has fine food but a beautiful view.

Gios crab

While on the upper end pricewise, Gio’s is well worth a visit. There are two location and both have deck seating on the water. Their signature dish is the local ‘King Crab’ served with two lobster tails and well worth the price.

Booty Bar

For casual “get your fingers greasy” eating with lots of napkins The Bootie Bar has some excellent roasted chicken and ribs.

Harrys

Happy Harry’s Hideaway is also on the water and open air completely. They specialize in seafood as well and have a delicious whole snapper. They also have the King Crab just without the lobster tails which makes them a little less expensive than Gio’s.
